JOBS at Heave

Build the modern service network for heavy equipment.

We take on one of the most overlooked problems in construction: heavy equipment downtime.

The Heave team
WHY HEAVE EXISTS

A machine sitting idle costs $1,000/hr.

For too long, contractors have been stuck relying on dealer service departments that are slow, expensive, opaque, and not built around the urgency of a jobsite.

We give contractors and fleet owners a faster way to get field service done through vetted independent technicians, transparent pricing, technician choice, and multi-brand coverage. Median time from service request to first technician response is under two minutes. Nearly 80% of jobs are completed within 24 hours.

Regional Sales Manager - Florida

Open new customers across Florida. Field-first, territory-owning, hunting role.

Sales

Tampa / St. Petersburg, FL

+

You have one job. Bring on new customers and get them transacting.

Heave is hiring a Regional Sales Manager to win new customers across Florida, working from our home market. This is a field-first role. You’ll spend most of your week on the move, at job sites, in the field, and in front of decision-makers, not behind a desk making cold calls. You’ll own your territory, but you won’t be handed a phone book and told to start dialing. We give you a named target list of contractors, prioritized by fleet size, work type, geographic footprint, and equipment mix. Your job is to focus where the opportunity is. The reps who win here know how to get in front of the accounts that matter, not chase accounts that happen to pick up the phone. You’ll report directly to Heave’s sales leadership and work closely with the CEO as we build and scale our go-to-market organization.

Key Responsibilities

New Customer Acquisition
  • Work a named target list of contractors, fleet owners, and equipment-heavy businesses in your territory
  • Drive vendor approval end to end at each target account, through insurance, legal, risk, and procurement
  • Earn the first service order, then the orders after it that turn a trial into a habit
  • Run a real in-person field schedule across your territory

Account Activation and Growth
  • Convert approved accounts into active, repeat-buying accounts
  • Hand the account to an Account Manager once it is buying on its own rhythm, then go find the next one
  • Keep CRM and pipeline data accurate and current

Market Presence
  • Build relationships directly with owners, equipment managers, fleet leaders, and operators, the people who decide who services their equipment
  • Represent Heave at job sites, customer meetings, trade shows, local associations, and industry events
  • Position Heave as the faster, more transparent alternative to dealer service departments

Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of field or outside sales experience owning a territory
  • Background selling into construction, heavy equipment, industrial services, rental, or fleet
  • Track record of hunting and opening new accounts, not managing existing relationships
  • Experience working a vendor onboarding or supplier approval process at a large account, and living through the slow parts
  • Comfortable with an in-person field schedule and regular driving within your territory
  • Experience selling to owners, equipment managers, fleet leaders, and operations decision makers
  • Comfortable using a CRM to manage pipeline and report accurately
  • Self-directed. You do not need someone telling you where to go each morning
  • Based in or near Tampa or St. Petersburg, FL, with willingness to travel across Florida
